The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has extended its congratulations to the Indian government and armed forces for their decisive action under Operation Sindoor. This operation came as a response to the Pahalgam terror attack, in which 26 people, mostly tourists, were killed by terrorists on April 22 in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district. The RSS highlighted that the actions taken were not only necessary but also inevitable to safeguard India's security.

In a joint statement, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and General Secretary Dattatreya Hosabale expressed their appreciation for the military's precision in targeting Pakistan-backed terrorist infrastructure. They also underscored the operation’s importance in delivering justice for the victims of the Pahalgam attack and bolstering India’s self-respect and national morale.

The RSS leaders remarked, “We totally agree that military action against terrorists, their infrastructure, and support systems in Pakistan is essential for the security of the country.” Bhagwat also noted that this decisive step was a clear message to Pakistan’s consistent efforts in sponsoring terrorism across the border.

The RSS also condemned the Pakistani military's attacks on civilian areas and religious sites near the Indian border, calling them savage and inhuman. They urged citizens to fully comply with government instructions, stay alert, and contribute to maintaining social harmony.

On the same day, India’s armed forces successfully repelled an attempt by the Pakistani military to target multiple locations across India’s northern and western borders, including Srinagar, Jammu, Pathankot, and Amritsar, using missiles and drones. This response followed the Indian precision strikes on terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK), conducted the day before under Operation Sindoor.
